It was a great success of Digi Yaksha Foundation (R) Bengaluru to conduct a whole day program to felicitate the greatest artist Couple of Yakshagana, Shri Hari Narayana Baipadithaya and Smt Leelavathi Baipadithaya on Sunday, 07 November 2021.
Program Shree Hari Leela -75 | Yakshabhinandanam | Shishyabhivandanam | Yaksha Nadotsavam is a one day event, with full of Yakshagana activities.
With the help of students of the Yakshagana Couple, Digi Yaksha foundation also brought two books to commemorate the event. One is Shree Hari Leela - Yakshagana Kalaayaana, Souvenir for this event. Shri Ganaraja Kumble, Ramakunja, Principal Of Shri Ramkunja Vidyalaya, Yakshagana artist edited the book with the help of editorial team including Subraya Sampaje, Madikeri, Dr.Sibanti Padmanabha, Tumkur, Smt Arathi Patrame Tumkur and Avinash Baipadithaya.
Priced at Rs.300 per copy, it included not only the write-ups of Baipadithaya Couples' students, wellwishers, co-artists; but also having 29 well scholarly articles by well-known Yakshagana artists, like Dr. M. Prabhakar Joshi, Dr. Kabbinale Vasanth Bharadwaj, Prof. M.L.Samaga, Dr.Ramananda Banari, Vasudeva Ranga Bhat Madhur, Padyana Shankaranarayana Bhat, Kuriya Ganapathi Shastri, Kerekai Umakanth Bhat, Dr.Chandrashekhar Damle, Shridhar D.S., Pro.Shripathi Kalluraya, Sunnanbala Vishweshwar Bhat, Na.Karanth Peraje... among others. It is like a Yakshagana Researcher's guide.
Another one is Biography of first woman Yakshagana Bhagawata, Smt Leelavathi Baipadithaya, narrated by Vidyarashmi Pelathadka, Editorial head for Supplements, Vijaya Karnataka and published by Abhinava Prakashana, in collaboration with Digi Yaksha Foundation. Priced at Rs.150, it narrates the story of a woman who entered the field of men (Gandu Mettina Kale) Yakshagana, and go on to the top, to direct a whole night Yakshagana show. This is the valuable book, every woman artist gets inspiration.
